Salvation Army Winter Food Appeal

Salvation Army Canned Food Run

We all find comfort in indulging in hearty meals during the cold winter months and The Tree House wanted to extend our hospitality, compassion and support to our wider community. The Tree House planned to do this by taking a step to ensure that ALL have the chance to indulge in a meal – simplicity being the key. If a simple tin of food has the power to satisfy hunger and warm even a single heart, we would definitely like to provide these opportunities to those around us.

With this in mind we decided to help support the Salvation Army Winter Appeal and asked that our families kindly and generously donate non perishable food items during the month of July. Due to the support we received we decided to extend the collection for the month of August also.

On Thursday 29th August Captain Nathan Hodges visited the centre to collect the cans our staff and families kindly donated. The Tree House was very proud to donate  200 food items to this worthy cause.
